Cooking as Foreplay: A Sensual Vegan Date-Night Menu
Candles, red wine, figs and chocolate. A slow, seductive vegan menu for two, and how to make the cooking part of the romance.

The kitchen as a temple of desire
Beautiful soul, cooking together is one of the most intimate things two people can do. Hands brushing as you chop. Feeding each other a taste from the spoon. Music playing, a glass of wine, that delicious anticipation… mmmm. Dinner becomes the slow beginning of the evening.
Set the mood
Dim the lights, light lots of candles, choose a sultry playlist, and put the phones away. Wear something that feels good on your skin. Cook barefoot if you like.
The menu
To start: fresh figs with a drizzle of maple and crushed pistachios, or my White Bean, Artichoke & Lemon Dip with warm pita, perfect for feeding each other.
The main: a creamy pasta, like a garlicky cashew cream with mushrooms and fresh herbs, or my Thai green curry if you love a little heat (spice gets the heart racing!).
Dessert: my Vegan Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries or Velvety Vegan Tiramisu. Chocolate and strawberries are made for sharing, slowly.
Make it play
Blindfold your partner and let them taste a few ingredients. Cook the dessert together, sticky fingers allowed. Take your time with every bite. The point isn't the perfect meal, it's presence, playfulness and pleasure. Krystal x
